What to Look For (Everyone)
If content was copied from Word, email, or another website, watch for:
- strange spacing or alignment
- inconsistent font sizes
- unexpected bold or italics
- broken lists
- headings that dont behave like headings
- content that looks fine visually but feels off
These are signs that hidden formatting may be present.
Why This Matters
Word and other applications dont just copy text. They also copy invisible formatting and HTML behind the scenes.
When that hidden code is pasted into Omni CMS:
- heading structure can break
- lists may not be real lists
- tables may become inaccessible
- screen readers may read content incorrectly
- accessibility tools may flag errors that are hard to understand
Even if the page looks okay, it may not be accessible.
How to Fix It (Editors)
Always use Paste as Text in your text editor

When copying content from:
- Microsoft Word
- Outlook or email
- PDFs
- other websites
You must use the "Paste as Text option" in the Omni CMS editor. This strips out hidden formatting and keeps your page clean.
Do / Dont
DO
- Always use Paste as Text
- Reapply headings and lists inside Omni CMS
- Review content after pasting
嗨倏捧T
- Paste directly from Word or email
- Assume formatting carried over correctly
- Trust that it looks fine
Practical Rule of Thumb
If content came from Word or another website:
- Paste as text first.
- Then rebuild formatting inside Omni CMS.
